Adventures on The Sea
All participants must be able to swim 50metres confidently
A common theme running through all that we practice and teach is that the outdoor environment should be respected, looked after and where possible understood. The impact of humans on such fragile, often wild environments should be negligible.
Sea Kayak
Originally built from seal skin, animal bone and washed up drift wood by the Eskimo and Inuit peoples, the kayak was used as a platform for hunting. Today more and more people are discovering the versatility of this craft where a night (or few nights) food can be carried plus camping equipment and places reached that no others could. Kayaking over the sea and exploring where the land meets the water gives us a privileged opportunity to see our beautiful habitat in a different way. The United Kingdom has one of the largest tidal ranges in the world and as a result the currents flowing around our shores can provide a speedy way to see the coast.
